Doctors are now turning to the ancient art of
to treat all kind of maladies.

Now, doctors are prescribing acupuncture for those who need help with their diet and nutrition.

“I became overweight in the fourth or fifth grade,” said Kevin Rydberg.

Since then, weight has been a struggle. Rydberg peaked at 420 pounds.

“If I didn’t lose the weight, if I didn’t get healthy, then I didn’t have much of a future with my kids,” Rydberg said.

A couple of years ago, Rydberg had a gastric bypass operation.

“I lost a lot of weight, like 160 pounds.”

But then a familiar appetite issue came back: the urge to snack between meals.

Instead of taking medication to help curb the urge, Rydberg tried acupuncture. Tiny needles placed in specific points on the body.
